Life's BIG Questions

What do you do when
happiness eludes you;
your world is falling apart and
you don't like being human?

What do you do when
all you know is discouragement;
and you don't know where to go
 to to get the answers?

What do you do when
you don't know who you are
and fear comes calling-
it won't go away?

What do you do when
you need a lot of forgiveness;
yet being good doesn't seem to pay off
 and you're steeped in depression?

What do you do when
your stresses are greater than your strengths
and you feel like a total failure-
because you are?

Do you know?

Is there hope?

Can there be beauty amidst the ashes?

Can the weeping stop?

All of us face these questions through out our lives. It's part of being human and it's normal. But if you don't know the answers to the questions then it's easy to get stuck- unable to move on. That's not normal. There is healing.

I have just finished reading a simple, little book which beautifully addresses each of these questions. The author finds his answers in the Book of Psalms - poetic songs written for all mankind, found only in the Holy Bible - Yahweh's Word - a guide to life on this crazy planet.

If you've never read the Psalms, I encourage you to do so. They are beautiful - answering so many of Life's BIG Questions. You won't find the truth anywhere else.

If you'd like to read the book I mentioned by Stuart Briscoe, here's the link. It's worth taking the time to do so.
